The brief—Create an onboarding program for an organization with a 36% new hire rate. The goal was to successfully launch the program within 6 months and provide a seamless and effective onboarding experience for new employees. I am proud to have met this challenge and delivered a comprehensive onboarding program that has helped the organization integrate new employees more efficiently.
The program consists of a 90-day guided learning path with on the job training and support from direct managers and onboarding buddies. Associates complete the general organizational orientation as well as business unit orientation and self-paced learning modules on key processes, functions and applications. From there, the emphasis shifts to on-the-job training and coaching. Managers and onboarding buddies also receive training, checklists and supplemental coaching to guide and assist them as they onboard the new hire.
